We are pleased to announce that Nick Lobejko has accepted the position of Director of Development for the College of Agricultural Sciences at Colorado State University. Nick’s experience in fundraising, donor relations, and business development will position him for success in his leadership of our development team. He joins us from the University of Colorado Boulder where he serves as Director of Development for Biotechnology, Engineering, Science and Technology in the College of Engineering and Applied Science. At CU, Nick was the development lead for the college’s capital campaign to raise $148 million for the Jennie Smoly Caruthers Biotechnology Building while successfully establishing one fully funded faculty professorship and four fully fundedfaculty fellowships. Before his position at CU, Nick was Director Development in the College of Natural and Health Sciences at the University of Northern Colorado. During his time at UNC, Nick cultivated and solicited 17 new major cash gifts and 17 new planned gifts which helped establish 23 fully endowed scholarships and two fully funded endowed distinguished professorships.
Nick has strong ties to our community. He and his wife Jillian and their son Logan live in Fort Collins, and they own Sole Mates in Old Town. Nick will start on May 12, so please take a moment to introduce yourself when he arrives on campus.
We would like to thank the search committee for identifying outstanding candidates to interview. In particular, we would like to recognize Rudy Garcia for his leadership in chairing the search. We are confident in Nick’s ability to continue to advance the College of Agricultural Sciences’ fundraising goals and to ensure that our donors and alumni always feel that they are a part of our Ag Family.
Craig and Brett
